Additional Information on SFP Transceivers

The SFP transceiver information displayed for switch ports now includes the following categories:

Allowed Clients and Devices List for Switch Ports

Allowed Clients and Devices List for Switch Ports

This new feature allows users to select clients from the Connected clients list and add them to the Allowed clients list. Once added to a list, only clients in the Allowed clients list will be able to access a network when connected to a specific port.

Configuring Multicast Optimizations for Wired Networks

Configuring Multicast Optimizations for Wired Networks

The Multicast Optimizations setting is no longer enabled by default for wired networks and can now be configured to reduce traffic to registered multicast groups in the network.

Dynamic Channel Display

Dynamic Channel Display

Starting with Instant On 2.9.0, the list of available Wi-Fi channels is displayed according to the site's country DRT regulations and also depending on AP types included in the Instant On site.

Email Localizations

Email Localizations

Language specific email notifications for site related events will now be sent based on the language preference set by the administrator when creating a new Instant On account. The supported languages are:

  • Traditional Chinese

Enhancements to the PoE Power Schedule

Enhancements to the PoE Power Schedule

A new option called Select ports that will follow this schedule is introduced in the PoE power schedule configuration. This allows users to configure the power schedule on multiple ports of each Instant On AP or switch which has downlink PoE support.

Enhancements to Port Details and Graphics

Enhancements to Port Details and Graphics

Additional information regarding switch ports in the form of new texts and icons, as well as changing the color of the ports shown to represent the port health is introduced. The PoE specification details are also displayed when the port is powered by PoE.

Extended Deadline for Software Updates

Extended Deadline for Software Updates

The software updates can now be postponed to a maximum of 30 days from the time the alert is generated.

Optional BLE Search to Add New Devices

Optional BLE Search to Add New Devices

Starting from this release the Search for devices process using the mobile app has been modified to now have BLE as an option instead of by default.

20 MHz Bandwidth Support on 5 GHz Radio - Global Radio Settings

Starting from this release, it is now possible to configure 20 MHz channel bandwidth and select specific 20 MHz channels for the 5 GHz radio. This option can be configured in the global radio management settings or from the local AP radio settings.
